FMS (Fleet Management)
The FMS standard was defined in late 2002 by the leading european truck manufacturers. With FMS third party manufaturer can access vehicle data online.

In late 2003 ESS implemented the FMS protocol in the CANgine hardware and in 2004 the first customers started using the CANgine FMS to sample vehicle data in telematics equipment.

With CANgine FMS telematics equipment can connect to all trucks in the same way independent from special truck manufacturers systems.
Based on the original CANgine FMS other products were developed according to our customers requirements: The Bluetooth Version CANgineBT FMS, the chip version CANgine FMSIA-CC and FMS simulation hardware and software.

CANgine FMS products not only support the FMS standard but also the newer Bus FMS standard which is used in busses. The FMS family of products is improved regulary at customer requests. In th epast different customized version werre created for special request of some of our customers. Other proposals for new or enhanced functions were implemented if the new feature was of general significance. As hardware and firmware are developed at ESS, modifications are possible in short time and at small costs.

Technical data of CANgine FMS is the same as of CANgine No.1.
